Statute: Workers' Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education, dated July 22, 2011, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke Mary Lloyd's appointment as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board effective September 6, 2011; (

b) appoint John Hugh MacArthur as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board for a term of 4 years commencing September 6, 2011; (

c) order that John Hugh MacArthur be remunerated for his service in the amount of $300 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as a member, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (

d) order that John Hugh MacArthur will receive an annual honorarium of $2,000 for chairing board committees.
