Statute: Crop and Livestock Insurance Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing dated May 8, 2000, pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Act, and

Chapter 235 of the said Revised Statutes, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (

a) extend the appointment of Jerome Forbes of St. Andrews, Antigonish County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term to end April 30, 2004, which appointment was made by Order in Council 1999-218 dated May 5, 1999; (

b) appoint Dave Sangster, Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing, Truro, Colchester County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term of office commencing May 1, 2000, and ending April 30, 2001; (

c) appoint Thane Fullerton of R.R.#1 Parrsboro, Cumberland County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term of office commencing May 1, 2000, and ending April 30, 2004; (

d) appoint Avard Bentley of Westchester, Cumberland County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term commencing May 1, 2000, and ending April 30, 2003; (

e) appoint Wendel Purdy of R.R.#1 Collingwood, Cumberland County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term commencing May 1, 2000, and ending April 30, 2003; and (

f) designate Jerome Forbes as Chair and Dave Sangster as Vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission.
