Schedule “A” Amendment to the House of Assembly Management Commission Regulations made by the House of Assembly Management Commission pursuant to subsection 27(1) of

Chapter 5 of the Acts of 2010, the House of Assembly Management Commission Act 1 Subsection 3(4) of the House of Assembly Management Commission Regulations , N.S. Reg. 43/2013, made by the House of Assembly Management Commission, is amended by striking out “42(4)” and substituting “43A(3)”. 2 Subsection 21(1) of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after clause (

j) the following clause: (ja) no more than four constituency open houses annually and the annual cost of the total number of open houses, other than the advertising costs for the event, not exceeding ten per cent of the monthly amount allowed under subsection 43(3). 3 Clause 26A(1)(

a) of the regulations is amended by striking out “a maximum of $153.00 per night” and substituting “the government rate for the establishment where the member stayed”. 4 Subsection 27(2) of the regulations is amended by striking out “26” and substituting “26A”. 5 Clause 27(4)(

(2) On May 1, 2015, and every subsequent May 1st thereafter, each non-outside member who has claimed reimbursement in accordance with subsection (1) shall (

a) where the House of Assembly is sitting, provide to the Speaker, who shall table in the House; or (

b) where the House is not sitting, file with the Clerk of the House a report setting out the dates and the reason in each case for the overnight hotel stays for the fiscal year ending on March 31st in the year the report is tabled. 8 Subsection 43(5) of the regulations is amended by striking out “or (4)”. 9 Clause 44(1)(

b) of the regulations is amended by striking out “charges incurred,” and substituting “at a rate not exceeding the government rate for the establishment where the member stayed,”. 10

Section 49 of the regulations is amended by striking out “26” both times it appears and substituting “26A”. 11 Subsection 55(2) of the regulations is amended by (

a) striking out “26A” in clause (

a) and substituting “26”; and (

whereas the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (“Board”) considered the manner in which it would proceed to set petroleum product prices in its decision, 2006 NSUARB 108, issued on October 16, 2006; And

whereas the Board revised the retail margin and transportation allowance effective January 6, 2012, in its decision, 2011 NSUARB 181, issued on November 23, 2011; And

whereas the Board revised the wholesale margin effective January 4, 2013, in its decision, 2012 NSUARB 213, issued on December 12, 2012; And

whereas the average of the average of the daily high and low reported product prices (in Canadian cents) for the week ended July 27, 2016, are: Grade 1 Regular gasoline 46.4¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil 45.5¢ per litre

Now therefore the Board prescribes the benchmark prices for petroleum products to be: Gasoline: Grade 1 46.4¢ per litre Grade 2 49.4¢ per litre Grade 3 52.4¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil 45.5¢ per litre And

now therefore the Board has determined, based on historical data regarding price changes and to achieve revenue neutrality, it is appropriate to apply, and the Board so orders, forward averaging corrections of: Gasoline: minus 1.2¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil: minus 1.0¢ per litre And

now therefore the Board prescribes the prices for petroleum products as set forth in

Section 8 of the Registered Nurses Act The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated May 26, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 8 of

Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2006, the Registered Nurses Act, is pleased to approve amendments made by the Council of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia to the Registered Nurses Regulations, N.S. Reg. 65/2009, made by the Council of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia and approved by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2009-133 dated March 17, 2009, respecting the issuance of temporary licenses [licences] and the continuing competence program, in the manner set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after August 2, 2016.

Schedule “A” I certify that the Council of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, at its meetings on September 23, 2014, and October 7, 2014, carried a motion to amend the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia Regulations, N.S. Reg. 65/2009, made by the Council and approved by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2009-133 dated March 17, 2009, in the manner set out in the attached. The amendments to the regulations referred to in this certificate are effective on and after the date they are approved by the Governor in Council.

Section 10 of the regulations is amended by repealing clause (

f) and substituting the following clause: (

f) except as provided in

Section 23, the member is in compliance with the continuing competence program and, if selected to participate in it, the verification process; 3 Clause 19(1)(

g) of the regulations is repealed and the following clause substituted: (

g) except as provided in

Section 23, the member is in compliance with the nurse practitioner requirements of the continuing competence program and, if selected to participate in it, the verification process. 4

Section 29 of the regulations is repealed and the following

Section substituted: 29

(1) A temporary licence or a temporary licence with conditions or restrictions, issued under

Section 14 of the Act expires on the earliest of all of the following dates: (

a) if the licence holder fails the applicable registration examination, a date set by the Executive Director respecting the failure of the examination; (

b) the date that a licence, other than a temporary licence, is issued to the licence holder; (

c) the expiry date of the licence; (

d) the date the licence is suspended or revoked under the professional conduct process.

(2) A temporary licence (nurse practitioner) or a temporary licence (nurse practitioner) with conditions or restrictions, issued under

Section 59 of the Act expires on the earliest of all of the following dates: (

a) if the licence holder fails the applicable registration examination, a date set by the Executive Director respecting the failure of the examination; (

b) the date that a nurse practitioner’s license [licence], other than a temporary licence, is issued to the licence holder; (

c) the expiry date of the licence; (

d) the date the licence is suspended or revoked under the professional conduct process.

(3) When the Executive Director becomes aware that a holder of any of the following licences has failed the applicable registration examination the number of times set by the Council, the Executive Director must notify the licence holder’s employer of the failure: (

a) a temporary licence or a temporary licence with conditions or restrictions; (

b) a temporary licence (nurse practitioner) or a temporary licence (nurse practitioner) with conditions or restrictions. 5

Whereas the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (“Board”) issued an order to the Strait Regional School Board on July 5, 2016, approving the application as follows: 1. The number of electoral districts for the Strait Regional School Board is confirmed at 10, each electing one member; 2. The proposed boundaries of the electoral districts are approved; and 3. The descriptions of all electoral districts are set out in

Schedule “A”, attached to and forming part of this order; It is hereby ordered that the description in Electoral District 9 of

Schedule “A” of the Board’s order dated July 5, 2016, be replaced with the following: Electoral District 9: East Guysborough includes, among others, the communities of Canso, Mulgrave, and Guysborough. It has three schools, the Mulgrave Memorial Education Centre (P to 8) (which feeds into SAERC), and two stand-alone schools Chedabucto Education Centre/Guysborough Academy (P to 12) and the Fanning Education Centre/Canso Academy (P to 12). It totals 1648.1 km 2. It encompasses municipal polling districts 1–6 and 8 in the Municipality of Guysborough, as well as the Town of Mulgrave.

Whereas the purpose of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulations is to ensure just and reasonable prices for specified petroleum products taking into consideration the objectives of preserving the availability of such products in rural areas, stabilizing prices of such products and minimizing the variances in prices of such products across the Province; And

whereas the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (“Board”) considered the manner in which it would proceed to set petroleum product prices in its decision, 2006 NSUARB 108, issued on October 16, 2006; And

whereas the Board revised the retail margin and transportation allowance effective January 6, 2012, in its decision, 2011 NSUARB 181, issued on November 23, 2011; And

whereas the Board revised the wholesale margin effective January 4, 2013, in its decision, 2012 NSUARB 213, issued on December 12, 2012; And

whereas the average of the average of the daily high and low reported product prices (in Canadian cents) for the week ended August 3, 2016, are: Grade 1 Regular gasoline 45.3¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil 43.1¢ per litre

Now therefore the Board prescribes the benchmark prices for petroleum products to be: Gasoline: Grade 1 45.3¢ per litre Grade 2 48.3¢ per litre Grade 3 51.3¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil 43.1¢ per litre And

now therefore the Board has determined, based on historical data regarding price changes and to achieve revenue neutrality, it is appropriate to apply, and the Board so orders, forward averaging corrections of: Gasoline: minus 0.5¢ per litre Ultra-low-sulfur diesel oil: minus 1.1¢ per litre And

now therefore the Board prescribes the prices for petroleum products as set forth in
