STATUTES CORRECTION REGULATION, 2006

Corrections to Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General statutes

1 The following statutes are corrected as set out in the attached Schedule:

(

a) Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act ;

(

b) Civil Forfeiture Act ;

(

c) Coroners Act ;

(

d) Emergency Program Act ;

(

e) Gaming Control Act ;

(

f) Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Amendment Act, 2003 ;

(

g) Liquor Control and Licensing Act ;

(

h) Liquor Distribution Act ;

(

i) Motor Vehicle Act ;

(

j) Sex Offender Registry Act .

Schedule

Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act

Section 188 (2) of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act , S.B.C. 2004, c. 2, is amended by renumbering the second paragraph (

b) as paragraph (c).

Civil Forfeiture Act

Section 27 (2) of the Civil Forfeiture Act , S.B.C. 2005, c. 29, is amended by striking out "subsections (1) (

b) to (e)" and substituting " subsection (1) (

b) to (e)".

Coroners Act

Section 52 of the Coroners Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 72, is amended by striking out "10.1,".

Section 53 is amended by striking out " or 10.1".

Emergency Program Act

Section 1 (1) of the Emergency Program Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 111, is amended in the definition of "emergency" by striking out "by the forces" and substituting "the forces".

Gaming Control Act

Section 83 (2) (

d) of the Gaming Control Act , S.B.C. 2002, c. 14, is amended by striking out " Winding-up Act (Canada)." and substituting " Winding-up and Restructuring Act (Canada)."

Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Amendment Act, 2003

Section 49 of the Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Amendment Act, 2003 , S.B.C. 2003, c. 94, is repealed and the following substituted:

Section 244 (2) is amended by adding the following paragraph:

(a.2) does not comply with regulations under

section 72 (d), (

f) or (

g) or 73 of the

Insurance (Vehicle) Act , .

Liquor Control and Licensing Act

Section 59 (1) (

a) of the Liquor Control and Licensing Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 267, is amended by striking out "business," and substituting "business, or".

Liquor Distribution Act

Section 10.1 (1) of the Liquor Distribution Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 268, is amended in the definition of " associate "

by striking out "operator means" and substituting "operator, means".

Section 11.5 (2) (

c) is amended by striking out "officers employees" and substituting "officers, employees ".

Motor Vehicle Act

Section 118.1 of the Motor Vehicle Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 318, is amended in the definition of "person affected by a proposed action of the corporation" by striking out "license" and substituting "licence".

Section 118.991 is amended by striking out "licenses or permits of commercial motor vehicles operated by a carrier and may" and substituting "licences or permits of commercial motor vehicles operated by a carrier and may,".

Section 232 (2) is amended by striking out "the regulation" and substituting "regulation".

Sex Offender Registry Act

Section 20 (2) of the Sex Offender Registry Act , S.B.C. 2001, c. 21, is amended by striking out "comes to the knowledge" and substituting "come to the knowledge".
