Explanatory Note I. The Stock Inspection Act, which is

chapter 321 of the Revised Statutes, is amended.

Section 37, subsection (3) presently reads: "

(3) Every inspector shall forward to the Depa.rtment before the tenth day of each month (

a) a duplicate of every certificate issued by him during the pre ceding month, wi,th aU memoranda and other data connected therewith attached thereto, and (

b) aU moneys collected by him as fees.".

Section 40, subsections (1) and (2) presently read: "40.

(1) Every butcher and every dealer in hides shall apply for a licence jn respect of each pJa.ce of business of the bwtcher or dealer.

(2) Every applicant for a licence shall pay to the Minister the sum of two dollars in respect of the first licence and the sum of one dollar for each additional licence issued to the applicant in any year.". 4. Commencement of Act.

BILL

An Act to amend The Stock Inspection Act (Assented to , 1964) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alherta, enacts as follows: 1. The Stock Inspection Act is hereby amended.

Section 37, subsection (3) is amended by striking out the word "tenth" and by sUbstituting the word "twenty fifth".

Section 40 is amended by striking out subsection (2) and by substituting the following:

(2) Every applicant for a licence shall pay to the Min ister the sum of two dollars in respect of each licence. 4. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to.
