EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AMENDMENT ACT, 2016

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Section 2 (2) of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act, S.B.C. 2002, c. 41, is amended by adding " that the person is in a prescribed class of persons or " after " satisfied ".

Section 26 (2) is amended by adding the following paragraph:

(

p) prescribing classes of persons for the purposes of

section 2 (2) [persons with disabilities] by reference to a status or benefit that

(ii) in the opinion of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, evidences a mental or physical impairment at least as severe as that described in

section 2 (2) (

a) and (b).

Commencement

3 This Act comes into force by regulation of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
