B.C. Reg. 229/2022 , deposited November 24, 2022, under the POLICE ACT [sections 74 and 184], the EMERGENCY PROGRAM ACT [section 28] and the ASSISTANCE TO SHELTER ACT [section 8]. Order in Council 585/2022, approved and ordered November 24, 2022.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective December 31, 2022,

(

a) the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 484/2004, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1,

(

b) the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 229/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2,

(

c) the Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police Service Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 385/99, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 3,

(

d) the Information Management Systems (Digital Evidence Management System) Regulation, B.C. Reg. 309/2021, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 4, and

(

e) the Assistance to Shelter Regulation, B.C. Reg. 291/2009, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 5.

Appendix 1

1 The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 484/2004, is amended by repealing the title and substituting the following:

SOUTH COAST BRITISH COLUMBIA TRANSPORTATION

AUTHORITY POLICE SERVICE OPERATIONS

REGULATION .

Section 1 is amended by repealing the definition of "SCBCTAPS" and substituting the following:

"SCBCTAPS-DPU" means the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service Designated Policing Unit.

3 Sections 2, 3 and 6 are amended by striking out " SCBCTAPS " wherever it appears and substituting " SCBCTAPS-DPU ".

Section 4 is repealed.

Appendix 2

1 The Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 229/2002, is amended by repealing the title and substituting the following:

ORGANIZED CRIME AGENCY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

OPERATIONS REGULATION .

2 Parts 1 and 2 are repealed.

Appendix 3

1 The Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police Service Complaints and Operations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 385/99, is amended by repealing the title and substituting the following:

STL’ATL’IMX TRIBAL POLICE SERVICE OPERATIONS

REGULATION .

Section 7 is repealed.

Appendix 4

Section 3 (

b) of the Information Management Systems (Digital Evidence Management System) Regulation, B.C. Reg. 309/2021, is repealed and the following substituted:

b) if specified in column 1 of the Schedule, must begin to phase in the use of DEMS by the date set out opposite in column 2.

a) Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police Service;

(

b) South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service Designated Policing Unit.
