section 12 of the International Trade and Investment Agreements Implementation Act provides that
Part 3 of that Act comes into force on Proclamation; and
WHEREAS it is expedient to proclaim
Part 3 of that Act, as it relates to the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation, in force:
NOW KNOW YE THAT by and with the advice and consent of Our Executive Council of Our Province of Alberta, by virtue of the provisions of the said Act hereinbefore referred to and of all other power and authority whatsoever in Us vested in that behalf, We have ordered and declared and do hereby proclaim
Part 3 of the International Trade and Investment Agreements Implementation Act, as it relates to the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation, in force on the date of issue of this Proclamation.

I, Gary Mar, Minister charged with the administration of the Historical Resources Act as amended from time to time, do hereby:
1. Pursuant to
section 16, subsection (1) of that Act, designate the site known as Frank Slide, and legally described as shown on Appendix A attached, and located near Bellevue, Alberta as a Provincial Historic Resource,
2. Give notice that pursuant to
section 16, subsection (9) of that Act, no person shall destroy, disturb, alter, restore, or repair any Provincial Historic Resource, or remove any historic object from a Provincial Historic Resource without the written approval of the Minister.
3. Further give notice that the following provisions of that Act now apply in cases of sale or inheritance of the above mentioned resource:
(11) the owner of an historic resource that is subject to an order under subsection (1) shall at least 30 days before any sale or other disposition of the historic resource, serve notice of the proposed sale or other disposition upon the Minister,
(12) when a person inherits an historic resource that is subject to an order under subsection (1), that person shall notify the Minister of the inheritance within 15 days of the historic resource being transferred to him.

Reasons for Contract Increase: Work on this contract involved placing an asphalt
concrete pavement overlay on the Vermilion Airport. Additional pavement was
required for levelling course to correct negative crown on the runway. As well, the
scope of the work was extended to include paving the access road from the airport
apron to the street.

Reasons for Contract Increase: This contract involved the installation of concrete
approach slabs at the Balzac Vehicle Inspection Station. The existing pavement
thickness was found to be greater than originally anticipated and additional costs
were incurred in excavating and disposing of the additional asphalt concrete.
Additional pavement was required to be removed throughout the approach slab area.

AMENDMENT OF ALBERTA WHEAT POOL ACT, 1970, AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that a petition will be submitted to the Lieutenant Governor and the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta at its next session for the passage of a Bill by Alberta Wheat Pool to amend The Alberta Wheat Pool Act, 1970, as amended (the "Act"), to:
1. remove provisions governing admission of members and associate members;
2. permit Alberta Wheat Pool to make Bylaws:
(
a) governing admission of members and associate members;
(
b) creating a share capital structure for Alberta Wheat Pool, consisting of shares of such classes as the Bylaws specify;
(
c) specifying the characteristics, rights, privileges, restrictions and conditions for each class of shares and any maximum number of shares that may be issued in any class;
(
d) dealing with other matters necessary for or incidental to the creation and issuance of shares or concerning any other matter or thing related to shares; and
(
e) providing for transitional and consequential matters arising in connection with the making, amendment, repeal and replacement of Bylaws;
3. include references to shareholders in sections 19, 25, 33 and 38.1(5) of the Act;
4. change "pool or pools of any grain, seed or commodities marketed by the Pool" in
section 34(1) of the Act to "pool or pools provided for in the Bylaws";
5. change "grain or seed" in
section 36 of the Act to "grain, seed or other product";
6. make the Securities Act inapplicable to certain matters transacted between Alberta Wheat Pool and an "exempt person" and transacted by an "exempt person", as "exempt person" is defined in the said Bill, and provided that Alberta Wheat Pool will not be a reporting issuer under the Securities Act by reason of transacting such matters; and
7. make consequential changes to the Act.
