BILL 4 1972 THE APPROPRIATION ACT, 1972 ( Assented to , 1972) MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN:

WHEREAS It appears by Messages from His Honour, J. W. Grant MacEwan, Lieutenant Governor of the Pro vince of Alberta, and the Estimates accompanying the Mes sages, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain 'expenses of the Public Service ?f Alb~rta not otherwise provided for during the finanClal perIods ending respectively, March 31, 1971, March 31, 1972 and March 31, 1973 and for other purposes relating thereto: MAY IT THEREFORE PLEASE YOUR MAJESTY that it be enacted and

be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, as follows: ~. From and out of the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding, in the whole, $55,125.00 towards defraying the several charges and ex penses of the Public Service from April 1, 1970 to March 31, 1971, not otherwise provided for and set forth in Sche d ule "A" to this Act. 2.

From and out of the General Revenue Fund there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding, in the whole, $94,847,339.41 towards defraying the Iseveral charges and expenses of the Public Service from April 1, 1971 to March 31, 1972, not otherwise provided for and set forth in Sche dule "B" to this Act. 3.

From and out of the General Revenue Fund there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding $1 329 298,- 456 towards defraying the several eharges and expen~es of the Public Service from April 1, 1972 to March 31 1973, not otherwise provided for, and set forth in SchedJle "C" to this Act, less the amounts voted on account for those items in The Appropriation (Interim Supply) Act, 1972.

4. The due application of all moneys expended under this Act shall be accounted for. 5. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to.
