OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated February 29, 2000, pursuant to
Section 4 of
Chapter 355 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Primary Forest Products Marketing Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint the following persons as alternate members of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board, each for a term of office commencing April 1, 2000 and ending March 31, 2002: Jonathan Porter of Liverpool, Region of Queens Municipality, as a person experienced in the pulp and paper industry; Stephen Read of Marion Bridge, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a person experienced in the sawmill industry; (
b) appoint the following persons as alternate members of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board, each for a term of office commencing April 1, 2000 and ending October 31, 2002: John Roblee of Oxford, Cumberland County, as a woodlot owner who is not engaged in the sawmill industry or the pulp and paper industry; Lawrence K. Evans, QC, of Port Hawkesbury, Inverness County, as a person not engaged in the production, marketing or processing of primary forest products; (
c) reappoint the following person as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of office commencing April 1, 2000 and ending March 31, 2002: A. Murray Anderson of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County, as a woodlot owner who is not engaged in the sawmill industry or the pulp and paper industry; (
d) reappoint the following person as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of office commencing April 1, 2000 and ending October 31, 2002: M. Russ Waycott of Port Hawkesbury, Inverness County, as a person experienced in the pulp and paper industry; (
e) appoint the following person as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of office commencing April 1, 2000 and ending March 31, 2002: Walter MacAlpine of Weymouth, Digby County, as a person not engaged in the production, marketing or processing of primary forest products; (
f) appoint Walter MacAlpine as Chair of the Board during the term of his appointment.
