OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, dated December 11, 2019, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and pursuant to
Section 80 of
Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use two parcels of land acquired for public use as a public highway but no longer required, identified as PID # 60446044, containing an area of ±13,483 square feet, and PID # 60446051, containing an area of ± 13,086 square feet, both parcels located at or near Cookville, County of Lunenburg more particularly described in
Schedule “A” and shown on
Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the conveyance of two surplus parcels of land to Carol Bruhm Poultry Farms II Limited of Cookville, Lunenburg County for the consideration of $15,000.00 plus HST of $2,250.00 for a total purchase price of $17,250.00; (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to affect the conveyance of the lands herein above described; and (
d) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
