OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and of the Minister of Health dated August 7, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 12 of

Chapter 103 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Corrections Act, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 208 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Hospitals Act, is pleased to: (

a) designate the 24 cells for adult male and female inmates suffering from mental illnesses (the MIO Unit), rooms and support and ancillary spaces on Lot 920, Burnside Industrial Park, Gloria McCluskey Avenue, Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, as a hospital under the Hospitals Act, and as a correctional facility under the Corrections Act; and (

b) designate the 12 bed health unit, support and other ancillary spaces within that part of the facility already designated as a correctional facility by Order in Council 2000-260, dated May 17, 2000, as a hospital under the Hospitals Act and as a correctional facility under the Corrections Act.
