OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated May 30, 2019, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to, effective July 9, 2019: (

a) appoint Valerie L. Paul, of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office of two years, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

b) fix the remuneration of Valerie L. Paul as a full-time Appeal Commissioner in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC12) in the range of $76,248.64 to $104,842.40, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC12); and (

c) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Valerie L. Paul as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
