Statute: Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated February 26, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 11 of

Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act, is pleased to: (

a) authorize the grant of easement for the purpose of constructing, installing, maintaining, and using the land as a sidewalk, public walkway, trail or any combination thereof and for associated municipal street purposes and public utilities dedicated to public use as part of the public street right-of-way over the property identified as Parcel 2013-01-Y, containing an area of 223.1 square metres (0.06 acres) located at or near 3139 Oxford Street, Halifax, Halifax County, to Halifax Regional Municipality as more particularly described in

Schedule "A" and as shown on

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation for a purchase price of $205,600.00 plus HST; (

b) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute an Easement Agreement in such form as the Minister determines to effect the grant of easement as herein above described; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such other documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
