OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated February 7, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , is pleased, effective on and after February 14, 2025, for the purposes of the renovation of the existing premises and construction of additional premises at the site of West Bedford Transitional Health, the sale of the facility to Shannex Incorporated, and the long-term operation the facility, to: (

a) approve the Minister of Health and Wellness entering into agreements with Shannex Incorporated and its affiliated companies, on the terms and conditions approved by the Executive Council, subject only to such variations as do not materially change the nature of the agreements; (

b) approve the making of a grant or grants by the Minister of Health and Wellness to the Nova Scotia Health Authority; (

c) authorize the Minister of Health and Wellness entering into net debt obligations in the form of tangible capital assets; and (

d) authorize the Nova Scotia Health Authority entering into net debt obligations in the form of tangible capital assets and an indemnity, and executing such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions.
