EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE EXPLICATIVE This Bill strengthens the internal discipline proce ss of the Manitoba Teachers' Society for teachers. Le présent projet de loi vise à renforcer le proces sus de discipline interne applicable aux enseignants membr es de l'Association des enseignants du Manitoba. In addition to existing penalties, teachers who are found to have engaged in unprofessional conduct or conduct unbecoming a teacher may have their membership in t he society suspended or terminated.

Teachers who are disciplined may also be required to pay some or all of the society's costs in respect of the disciplinary inve stigation and hearing. a) in the part before clause (a), (

b) by striking out " or " at the end of clauses (

a) and (

b) and adding the following after clause (b): (b.1) suspension of membership in the society, with or without conditions; (b.2) termination of membership in the society; (b.3) a penalty provided for in the by-laws of the society; 3(3) Le paragraphe 18(4) est modifié :

Filing of order 18(15) The society may file an order to pay a monetary penalty or costs in the Court of Queen's Bench and, once filed, the order may be enforced in the same manner as a judgment of the court.
