B.C. Reg. 34/2006, deposited February 27, 2006, pursuant to the NORTH ISLAND-COAST DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE TRUST ACT [Sections 1 and 25]. Order in Council 102/2006, approved and ordered February 25, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act is brought into force, and

(

b) the attached North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Regions Regulation is made.

NORTH ISLAND-COAST DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE

TRUST REGIONS REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"Act" means the North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act ;

"electoral area" has the same meaning as in the

Local Government Act .

Regions defined

2 For the purposes of the Act:

"Central South Island region" means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

(

a) in the Powell River Regional District, electoral area E;

(

b) in the Regional District of Nanaimo, electoral areas A, B, C and E, the City of Nanaimo, the City of Parksville and the District of Lantzville;

(

c) the Cowichan Valley Regional District;

"North Island-Sunshine Coast region" means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

(

a) the Regional District of Mount Waddington;

(

b) the Regional District of Comox-Strathcona;

(

c) the Regional District of Alberni-Clayoquot;

(

d) in the Regional District of Nanaimo, electoral areas F, G and H, and the Town of Qualicum Beach;

(

e) the Powell River Regional District, except electoral area E;

(

f) the Sunshine Coast Regional District.
