OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated January 22, 2024, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) re-appoint Lianne Chang as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from March 16, 2024, up to and including March 31, 2027, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

b) re-appoint Brent Levy, K. Andrew MacNeil, Diane Manara, Valerie Paul, David S. Pearson, and Andrea L. Smillie as full-time Appeal Commissioners of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal, each for a term of office extending from April 1, 2024, up to and including March 31, 2027, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

c) re-appoint Alison Hickey as a part-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from April 1, 2024, up to and including March 31, 2027, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

d) fix the remuneration of Lianne Chang, Brent Levy, K. Andrew MacNeil, Diane Manara, Valerie Paul, David S. Pearson, and Andrea L. Smillie as full-time Appeal Commissioners in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12) in the range of $84,611.54 to $116,341.94, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations, and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12); (

e) fix the remuneration of Alison Hickey as a part-time Appeal Commissioner in accordance with a salary range equivalent to half of the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12) in the range of $84,611.54 to $116,341.94, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations, and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12); (

f) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Lianne Chang, Brent Levy, K. Andrew MacNeil, Diane Manara, Valerie Paul, David S. Pearson, and Andrea L. Smillie as full-time Appeal Commissioners of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service; and (

g) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Alison Hickey as a part-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
