OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated February 21, 2008, and pursuant to
Section 26 of
Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act, and
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective May 1, 2008, to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Michael Noonan as Acting Director of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, made by Order in Council 2006-385, dated August 31, 2006; (
b) appoint Krista Daley as Director of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a term of three years; (
c) fix the salary of Krista Daley at $131,578.37 annually, equivalent to MCP 38(104%), subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Management Compensation Plan; (
d) direct that Krista Daley receive consideration for eligibility for annual amounts payable under the MCP Pay for Performance Policy as determined by the Chair of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission and for any applicable economic adjustments provided to non bargaining unit civil servants; (
e) direct that Krista Daley shall receive all of the customary benefits of a deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (
f) designate Krista Daley to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
