B.C. Reg. 304/2006, deposited November 22, 2006, pursuant to the FIRE SERVICES ACT [Section 47 (2)]. Ministerial Order M256/2006, dated October 17, 2006.

I, Rich Coleman, Minister of Forests and Range and Minister Responsible for Housing, order that the

Schedule to B.C. Reg. 175/2006 is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

SCHEDULE

1 Item 74 of the

Schedule to B.C. Reg. 175/2006 is repealed and the following substituted:

5.3.1.2.

(2) Replace with the following:

2) When used in an atmosphere containing combustible dusts , the cleaning equipment required in Sentence (1) shall conform to the, British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations.

2 The following items are added after item 74:

5.3.1.2.(3)(

b) Replace with the following:

b) all machinery and equipment is de-energized, unless such equipment is suitable for use in atmospheres containing combustible dusts , in conformance with the British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations.

5.3.1.10.

(2) Replace with the following:

2) Portable electrical equipment used in atmospheres containing combustible dusts shall conform to the British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations.

5.5.3.4.

(1) Replace with the following:

1) Except as provided in Sentence 5.5.3.5.(3), electrical equipment located in areas where the concentration of flammable vapours is sufficient to create a hazard shall conform to the British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations, for the hazardous locations.

5.6.1.10.

(2) Replace with the following:

2) Temporary electrical installations shall be installed in conformance with the British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations.

5.6.1.11.

(3) Replace with the following:

3) The clearance between combustible materials and temporary heating equipment, including flues , shall be in conformance with

Part 6 of the British Columbia Building Code or in conformance with the minimum clearances shown on certified heating equipment.

5.6.1.12.(1)

a) and (

b) Replace with the following:

a) CAN/CSA-B139-M, "Installation Code for Oil Burning Equipment," the British Columbia Building Code, or

b) the British Columbia Safety Standards Act and pursuant regulations.

5.6.1.19.

(1) Replace with the following:

1) Combustible refuse in sufficient quantities to constitute a fire hazard shall be moved to a safe location. (See also Subsection 8.2.5. of the British Columbia Building Code.)

6.4.2.

Insert Subsection 6.4.2. Standard Fire Hose Thread as follows:
