OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated August 1, 2008, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 7 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agriculture and Rural Credit Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Hank Bosveld of Kentville, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a further term of office of three years commencing September 15, 2008 and expiring September 14, 2011; (
b) determine the rate of remuneration for carrying out duties as a Member to be $100 per day; (
c) determine that reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by the Member in carrying out his duties shall be paid to the member in accordance with Provincial Government policy; (
d) bind Hank Bosveld, as a condition of his appointment, by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and
Chapter 4 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; and (
e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against Hank Bosveld and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
