OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated January 18, 2024, and pursuant to Sections 672.38, 672.39, and 672.4 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, and

Section 18 of the

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased, effective February 2, 2024, to: (

a) reappoint Dr. Robert Pottle of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member, Psychiatrist, of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three (3) years; (

b) order that Dr. Robert Pottle be remunerated at the rate of $120.00 per hour plus necessary expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties as member and Psychiatrist of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; (

c) revoke the appointment of Raffi Balmanoukian of New Glasgow, Pictou County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board, made by Order in Council 2022-85, dated March 29, 2022; (

d) reappoint Raffi Balmanoukian of New Glasgow, Pictou County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board, and designate him as Chair, for a term of three (3) years; and (

e) order that Raffi Balmanoukian be remunerated at the rate of $150.00 per hour to a maximum of 65 hours per month, plus necessary expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties as member and designated Chair of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
