OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Sydney Steel Corporation Act dated January 24, 2001, pursuant to subsection 8(1) of

Chapter 456 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Sydney Steel Corporation Act, is pleased, effective as of the adjournment of the Board of Directors Meeting held on January 22, 2001, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Teresa MacNeil of Johnstown, R.R.#1 St. Peter's, Richmond County, as a member and Chair of the Board of Directors of Sydney Steel Corporation; (

b) revoke the appointment of the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of Sydney Steel Corporation: Philip R. Murray, C.A., of Sydney Mines, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; James W. Gogan of Woodburn, Pictou County; Edwin C. Harris, Q.C., of Head of St. Margaret's Bay, Halifax Regional Municipality; T. Peter Sodero, Q.C., of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Jacquelyn Thayer Scott, Ph.D., of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; John Kingston of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; Wayne Weatherbee of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; (

c) appoint Howard Windsor of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and Chair of the Board of Directors of Sydney Steel Corporation; (

d) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of Sydney Steel Corporation: William D. Hogg of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Brian Stonehouse of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Kevin Malloy of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality.
