OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated January 30, 2008, and pursuant to Sections 15 and 113 of

Chapter 504 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Wildlife Act, is pleased, effective on and after February 19, 2008, to (

a) adjust the boundaries of the Shubenacadie Wildlife Management Area, as reflected in Schedules "A" and "B" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; (

b) repeal the Shubenacadie Wildlife Management Area Regulations, N.S. Reg. 158/79, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 79-1223 dated September 25, 1979; and (

c) make new regulations respecting the Shubenacadie Wildlife Management Area in the form set forth in

Schedule "C" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, to reflect current regulatory drafting and to reflect the need to provide authority for the use of firearms or bows to deal with wildlife management situations.
