Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated June 12, 2012, and pursuant to Sections 3, 5 and 6 of

Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Charmaine Mullins of Halifax Regional Municipality (Eastern Passage) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing July 10, 2012; (

b) appoint Allan Stapleton of Halifax Regional Municipality (Middle Sackville) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing July 10, 2012; (

c) order that the remuneration for Charmaine Mullins and Allan Stapleton be fixed in the following aggregate amounts, payable for their service as employer members of the Labour Board: (i) $200.00 per day for each day the member conducts a hearing as a member or participates in necessary training; (ii) $150.00 per day for each day the member necessarily attends to the busines of the Labour Board, as a member, except hile conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; (iii) such actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the member in the discharge of thier duties; and (

d) revoke the appointment of Gregory A. Blanchard as an employee member of the Labour Board effective July 10, 2012.
