OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated July 25, 2006, and pursuant to

Section 672.38 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, is pleased to: (

a) appoint William K. Twaddle of Church Point, Digby County, and Kenneth D. Crawford, Q.C., of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as members of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of office of three years commencing August 17, 2006; (

b) determine the remuneration of William K. Twaddle and Kenneth D. Crawford, Q.C., to be at the rate of $75.00 per hour, together with reasonable expenses; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against William K. Twaddle and Kenneth D. Crawford, Q.C., and indemnify them from personal liability provided the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
