B.C. Reg. 254/2021 , deposited October 4, 2021, under the FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS CLASSIFICATION ACT [section 47]. Order in Council 548/2021, approved and ordered October 4, 2021.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Wines of Marked Quality Regulation, B.C. Reg. 168/2018, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 47 (2) of the Wines of Marked Quality Regulation, B.C. Reg. 168/2018, is amended by repealing paragraphs (

a) and (

b) and substituting the following:

(

a) Traditional Method Sparkling wine, Méthode Cuvée Close Sparkling wine or Aromatic Sparkling wine unless the only grapes used to process the wine are Vitis vinifera varieties set out in Table 1 of

Schedule 3, or .

Section 53 is amended by adding the following subsection:

(8) If the carbon dioxide content of a Table wine is increased by adding carbon dioxide to the wine from an external source, the wine's label must state either "carbonated" or "frizzante".

Section 56 (1) is amended in the table by repealing item 4 and substituting the following as indicated:
