AN ACT TO AMEND THE CREDIT AND LOAN AGREEMENTS ACT (Assented to , 1973) HER lVIAJESTY, by and with the advice and cO'nsent O'f the Legis1ative Assembly O'f Alberta, enacts as fO'llows: 1. The Credit and Loan Agreements Act is hereby amend ded. 2. The following

Part is added after

section 15.4:

PART 4A CREDIT RE'PORTS 15.5

(1) NO' 'company engalged in Whole 'Or in

part in the business O'f cO'llecting infO'rmation about the financial rating O'r standing O'f any persO'n shall: (

a) cO'llect or compile any informatiO'n related or unre lated to' any person's financial rating or standing withIQut the permission in writing O'f the pers'On invO'lved; (

b) release any informatiO'n S'O cO'llected O'r compiled without the authorization in writing O'f the person invO'lved.

(2) Any company engaged in whO'le O'r in

part in the business 'Of cO'llecting inf'Orma;tiO'n abO'ut the financial rat ing 'Or standing O'f any persO'n shall: (

a) release a copy O'f any infO'rmation cO'llected O'r com piled on any person to' the persO'n involved at his request; (

b) send a cO'mplete certified CO'Py O'f all infO'rmation cO'llected and 'CO'mpiled on any person to' such per son at least once a year; (

c) destroy all ,information, and copies 'Of all informa tiO'n O'n any person, upon Ithe request O'f that per son, and shall nO't again cO'llect O'r cO'mpile any in fO'rmati'On O'n the persIQn withO'ut securing his per missiO'n in writing. 3.
