OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister in charge of the administration of the Heritage Property Act dated October 29, 2002, pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 199 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Heritage Property Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, each for a term of three years commencing November 28, 2002: Robert Cullen of Truro, Colchester County; Brian Cuthbertson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Paul Erickson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Olive Pastor of Pictou, Pictou County; Alan Ruffman of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and H.M. Scott Smith of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) determine the remuneration of each of the members appointed to the Advisory Council on Heritage Property to be $75.00 per meeting plus documented expenses; (

c) determine that Robert Cullen, Brian Cuthbertson, Paul Erickson, Olive Pastor, Alan Ruffman and H.M. Scott Smith be bound by the principles and purposes of both the Nova Scotia Government Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Robert Cullen, Brian Cuthbertson, Paul Erickson, Olive Pastor, Alan Ruffman and H.M. Scott Smith and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
