B.C. Reg. 246/2022 , deposited November 28, 2022, under the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [section 26]. Order in Council 644/2022, approved and ordered November 28, 2022.
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that
(
a) the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1, and
(
b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1
Section 1 (1) of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended by adding the following
definitions:
"vote" has the same meaning as in the Financial Administration Act ;
"voted support payment" means a support payment made to a family unit from the voted appropriation described under the heading "Income Assistance" in the vote for the ministry of the minister.
Section 11 (1) is amended by adding the following paragraph:
(nnn) a voted support payment.
Section 39 (3.1) is amended by striking out " 6 or more " and substituting " 12 or more ".
Schedule B is amended in
section 1 (
a) by adding the following subparagraph:
(lxiv) a voted support payment.
Schedule B is amended in
section 4 (1) in the definition of "permitted operating expenses" by adding the following paragraph:
(
o) contributions made under the Canada Pension Plan in respect of the person’s self-employment earnings.
Schedule D is amended in
section 6 by adding the following paragraph:
(lll) a voted support payment.
Appendix 2
Section 1 (1) of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended by adding the following
definitions:
