Designation of Statistical Agency

made under

Section 156 of the

Insurance Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 231

O.I.C. 2008-184 (April 7, 2008), N.S. Reg. 259/2008

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the

Insurance Act dated March 18, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 156 of

Chapter 231 of the

Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Insurance Act , is pleased, effective on and after

April 7, 2008, to:

(

a) revoke the designation of the Insurance Bureau of Canada as the statistical agency

under the Insurance Act made by Order in Council 69-162 effective February 21,

1969; and

(

b) designate the General Insurance Statistical Agency as the Province’s statistical

agency, pursuant to

Section 156 of

Chapter 231 of the Revised Statutes of Nova

Scotia, 1989, the Insurance Act , for the purposes of said

Section 156.
