Statute: Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated September 1, 2005, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women each for a term of office of three years, commencing June 1, 2005: Mary Elizabeth Chisholm of Antigonish, Antigonish County; Patricia LeBlanc of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; Linda Carvery of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Doreen Paris of New Glasgow, Pictou County; (

b) appoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women each for a term of office of two years, commencing June 1, 2005: Holly Meuse of Bear River, Digby County; Shelley Goodwin of RR#3 Yarmouth, Yarmouth County; Ebi Cocodia of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Anne Kelly of Lower Sackville, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

c) revoke the appointment of Janette Peterson as a member of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, effective June 1, 2005.
