Reg. 98/2002, deposited May 17, 2002, pursuant to the FOREST PRACTICES

CODE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA ACT [Sections 198, 200 and 206]. Order in Council

368/2002, approved and ordered May 17, 2002.

On the recommendation

of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent

of the Executive Council, orders that the Forest Recreation Regulation, B.C. Reg.

58/99, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule. — M. de

JONG, Minister of Forests; M. COELL, Presiding Member of the Executive

Council .

Schedule

section 1 (2) of the Forest

Recreation Regulation, B.C. Reg. 58/99, is amended by striking out "camping pass

and".

section 20 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by adding "where

a camping permit is required under

section 22" after "A person who camps at a

recreation site",

(

b) by repealing subsection (1) (

c) and substituting

the following:

(

c) be authorized to camp by a camping

permit;

(

c) in subsection (1) (

d) to (

f) by striking out "camping pass

or" wherever it appears, and

(

d) by repealing subsection (2).

section

21 is repealed and the following substituted:

Camping

fees

21 The fee for a camping permit is

(a) $10 a night, including GST, or

(b) $5 a night,

including GST, for

(

i) a party containing at least

one person who is a senior, or

(ii) a party containing

at least one person with a disability who qualifies for a fee exemption under

section 51 of the Park and Recreation Area Regulation, B.C. Reg. 180/90.

section 22 is amended by repealing subsections (1) and (6) and substituting the

following:

(6) A camping permit is not transferable,

and is valid only for the period of time indicated on the permit.

section

23 is amended by striking out "(2) or (3)".

section 25 (1) is amended

by striking out "pass or".
