OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated April 13, 1999, pursuant to

Section 9 of the Acts of 1990, the Health Council Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Karen Parent as Executive Director of the Provincial Health Council which appointment was made by Order in Council 94-976 dated October 5, 1994; (

b) appoint John R. Dow as the Executive Director of the Provincial Health Council for a term of three years which includes a probationary term of six months, effective May 3, 1999; (

c) determine that the person occupying the position of Executive Director shall be deemed to be an employee for the purpose of the Public Service Superannuation Act; (

d) direct that the Executive Director shall be subject to all terms, conditions and benefits of employment to which public servants are subject to pursuant to the Civil Service Act; and (

e) fix and determine the salary of the Executive Director to be at the rate of $70,000 per annum with such increments as applicable, effective May 3, 1999.
