Marketing of Agricultural Products Act

TURKEY MARKETING AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Alberta Turkey Producers on September 11, 2003 pursuant to sections

26 and 27 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Turkey Marketing Regulation (AR 113/98) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 14(8) and (9) are repealed.

Section 14(11) is amended by striking out ",

notwithstanding that the allocation may result in the producer's holding

base quota in excess of the limit provided under subsection (8) or (9)".

4 Sections 14(12) and (13), 15(6) and (7), 16(4)(

b) and

18(4)(

a) and (

b) are repealed.

section 23(9) of the School Act.

1 The Student Record Amendment Regulation (AR 71/99)

is amended by this Regulation.

Section 9 is amended by striking out "February 29, 2004"

and substituting "August 31, 2004".

1 The Licensing and Ambulance Maintenance Regulation

(AR 46/99) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 24 is amended by striking out "March 1, 2004" and

substituting "April 30, 2007".

is amended by this Regulation.

Section 10(1)(

a) is amended by striking out "prescribed"

and substituting "approved".

Section 21 is amended by striking out "March 1, 2004" and

substituting "April 30, 2007".

Government Organization Act

RESTRICTED ACTIVITY AUTHORIZATION REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Health and Wellness (M.O. 123/2003) on December 29,

2003 pursuant to

Schedule 7.1,

section 3 of the Government Organization Act.

Definitions

1 In this Regulation,

(a) "AADAC" means the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Commission;

(b) "psychosocial intervention" means psychosocial intervention

within the meaning of

Schedule 7.1 to the Government

Organization Act;

(c) "service provider" means a person, other than a regulated

member, whose name appears on a list of service providers

maintained by AADAC for the purposes of this Regulation

and who

(

i) is an employee or agent of AADAC and provides or

supervises addictions counselling,

(ii) is not an employee or agent of AADAC but provides

addictions counselling pursuant to a contract with

AADAC, or

(iii) is not an employee or agent of AADAC but provides

addictions counselling when conducting a program for

the prevention or treatment of alcohol and drug abuse

and receives financial or other assistance from AADAC

for the program.

Authorization

2 A service provider may perform psychosocial intervention while

providing addictions counselling.

Expiry

3 For the purpose of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed for

ongoing relevancy and necessity, with the option that it may be

repassed in its present or an amended form following a review, this

Regulation expires on March 31, 2012.

Electric Utilities Act

DISTRIBUTION TARIFF AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Energy (M.O. 1/2004) on January 9, 2004 pursuant to

section

108 of the Electric Utilities Act.

1 The Distribution Tariff Regulation (AR 162/2003) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 2 is amended by renumbering it as

section 2(1)

and by adding the following after subsection (1):

include a provision relating to the disconnection of a customer for

non-payment of a bill in accordance with the following:

(

a) the owner must not disconnect the customer

(

i) at any time during the period from October 15 to April

15, or

(ii) at any other time when the temperature is forecast to be

below 0 degrees Celsius in the 24-hour period

immediately following the proposed disconnection;

(

b) the owner may install a device to limit or reduce the amount

of electric energy provided to the customer.

(3) Subsection (2) applies to residential and farm rate classification

customers as defined in a distribution tariff.

(4) A provision referred to in subsection (2) must be included as

soon as is reasonably possible, but not later than October 15, 2004.
