Preamble WHEREAS The Lay Institute of Mary of the Annunci- ation has presented a petition praying for

An Act to provide for the exemption of certain lands owned by the said Petitioner from assessment and taxation other than that relating to local improvements and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the said Petitioner: T'HEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consenC of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: Exemption ~. Those lands situated in the City of Calgary, in the ~m • I taxation Province of Alberta, deSCrIbed as fo lows: (

a) The South Half of Lot Nineteen (19), in Block Two (2), as shown on Plan Bl Mission, Calgary; (

b) The South Half of Lot Twenty (20) in Block Two (2), as shown on Plan Bl Mission, Calgary; (

c) Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9), in Block Six (6), as shown on Plan Calgary A.C. Reserving unto La Corporation Des Reverends Peres Oblats de Marie Immaculee des Territoires du Nord Ouest all coal; together with improvements thereon, shall be exempt from assessment and taxation other than taxes relating to local improvements and taxes pertaining to minerals for so long as they are owned by The Lay Institute of Mary of the Annunciation and used by it for or in connection with religious, charitable or educational purposes. Commence- 2.
