An Act to Amend the Gasoline and Motive Fuel Tax Act Loi modifiant la Loi de la taxe sur l’essence et les carburants Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement de l’As- semblée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick, édicte : 1 Subsection 12.4(1.1) of the Gasoline and Motive Fuel Tax Act,

chapter G-3 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed and the following is substituted: 1

chapitre G-3 des Lois révisées de 1973, est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 12.4(1.1) An interjurisdictional carrier may apply for a single trip fuel permit in the form provided by the Minister accompanied by an amount of tax determined as follows: 12.4(1.1) Le transporteur interterritorial peut solliciter un permis de combustible pour voyage simple au moyen de la formule que lui fournit le Ministre accompagnée du montant de la taxe fixé comme suit : (

a) in the case of motive fuel brought into the Prov- ince,

i) by dividing 1.77 into the tax per litre of motive fuel at the time the motive fuel is brought into the Province, (

i) to the next cent per kilometre or 4 cents, whichever is the greater, (ii) en arrondissant le montant obtenu au sous- alinéa (

i) au plus proche cent supérieur par kilomètre ou 4 cents, le montant le plus élevé étant retenu, (iii) by multiplying the figure obtained in subpara- graph (ii) by the number of kilometres of proposed travel, and (iii) en multipliant le montant obtenu au sous- alinéa (ii) par le nombre prévu de kilomètres, (iv) by adding $25 to the product obtained in sub- paragraph (iii); or (iv) en ajoutant 25 $ au produit obtenu au sous- alinéa (iii); 1 (

b) in the case of gasoline brought into the Province,

b) of the Act is amended by striking out “or of any fee or tax referred to in

section 12.4, as the case may be,” and substituting “or of any tax referred to in
