Order in Council 673/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered 1570/2016, dated the 26th day of October 2016, David Ross Nichols was reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario effective from October 5, 2016, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding six months from the effective date of his reappointment;

And

whereas David Ross Nichols has agreed to be further reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to

section 6.1 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act , as amended, David Ross Nichols is hereby reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario, effective from the 5th day of April 2017, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a further period not exceeding six months from the effective date of this reappointment.
