The use of stud- ded tires is generally prohibited, with two exceptions. A motor vehicle with studded tires that conform to prescribed standards and specifications may be operated on a highway in the part o f Ontario prescribed by the regula tions as Northern Ontario. I t may also be operated on a highway anywhere in Ontario, if the address of the owner of the vehicle is in Northern Ontario. Le projet de loi modifie le Code de la route. L’utilisation de pneus cloutés est généralement interdite, avec deux exceptions. Un véhicule automobile muni de pneus cloutés qui sont confor- mes aux normes et aux caractéristique s prescrites peut être utili- sé sur une voie publique dans la partie de l’Ontario prescrite pa r les règlements comme étant le Nord de l’Ontario. Il peut aussi être utilisé sur une voie publique n’importe où en Ontario si l’adresse du propriétaire du véhicule est dans le Nord de l’Ontario.
