B.C. Reg. 238/2020 , deposited September 20, 2020, under the CANNABIS CONTROL AND LICENSING ACT [section 139]. Order in Council 527/2020, approved and ordered September 20, 2020.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Cannabis Licensing

Regulation, B.C. Reg. 202/2018, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

1 The heading of Division 5 of

Part 2 of the Cannabis Licensing Regulation, B.C.

Reg. 202/2018, is repealed and the following substituted:

Division 5 – Security Manager .

Section 17 is repealed.

Section 18 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " in the security manager's opinion " and substituting " in the general manager's or security manager's opinion ",

(

b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:

(2) On the general manager's request, the security manager must provide the general

manager with the security manager's opinion about whether an applicant or licensee

is fit and proper. , and

(

c) in subsections (3), (4) and (6) by striking out " determining " and substituting " forming an opinion about ".

Section 19 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " The security manager may determine " and substituting " On the general manager's request, the security manager must provide the general

manager with the security manager's opinion about ",

(

b) in subsection (2) by striking out " the fit and proper determination under subsection (1) " and substituting " the forming of the security manager's opinion referred to in subsection (1) " , and

(

c) in subsection (3) by striking out " determines " and substituting " provides the general manager with an opinion " and by striking out " must " and substituting " may ".
