An exception is made for children who a re at least 145 cm in height or 36 kg in weight.

Le présent projet de loi exige qu'un enfant qui pre nd place dans un véhicule automobile et qui n'a pas en core atteint l'âge de huit ans soit retenu dans un siège d'appoint qui répond aux exigences prévues par les règlements. Toutefois, l'usage d'un tel siège n'est pas requis dans le cas d'un enfant dont la taille est d 'au moins 145 cm ou dont le poids est d'au moins 36 kg.

As an exception, the child is not required to be secured in that manner if he or she is at least 145 cm in height or 36 kg in weight.
