An Act to Amend the Right to Information Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1 The Right to Information Act,

chapter R-10.3 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1978, is amended by adding af- ter

section the following: 1.1 The purpose of this Act is to provide a right of ac- cess to information under the control of any department to which this Act applies in accordance with the principles that (

a) information should be available to the public, and (

b) necessary exemptions from the right of access should be limited and specific. 2 This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation. PROJET DE LOI Loi modifiant la

Loi sur le droit à l’information,

chapitre R-10.3 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 1978, est modifiée par l’adjonction après l’article de ce qui suit : 1.1 La présente loi a pour objet de procurer un droit d’accès à l’information régi par tout ministère auquel la présente loi s’applique conformément aux principes suivants :

a) l’information doit être accessible au public, et

b) les exceptions au droit d’accès doivent être limi- tées et précises. 2 La présente loi entre en vigueur à la date fixée par proclamation.
