awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and working tirelessly to support some

of the province's most vulnerable citizens;

AND

WHEREAS 174,000 Albertans are living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

and many more, including family members and caregivers, are affected by the

disorder;

AND

WHEREAS partners across Alberta, including the Calgary Fetal Alcohol

Network, are providing advocacy and community engagement to ensure individuals

with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder have the supports and resources to thrive and

participate in their communities;

AND

WHEREAS the Province of Alberta is committed to working with its partners

to reduce the incidence of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and improve prevention,

diagnosis and support for Albertans living with the disorder and their caregivers.
