An Act respecting the

Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport

Preamble

The Corporation of the City of Guelph and The Regional Municipality of Waterloo have applied for special legislation to dissolve The Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport Commission and to vest its assets and liabilities in The Regional Municipality

of Waterloo.

It is appropriate to grant the application.

Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Airport commission dissolved

(1) On the day this Act comes into force, The Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport Commission is dissolved.

Property vests in Region

(2) All the lands and premises, equipment and other property of the Commission are hereby vested in The Regional Municipality of Waterloo, subject to any trust, lien or other encumbrance affecting such property.

Rights, liabilities, etc., vest in Region

(3) All rights, duties and interests and all debts and liabilities of the Commission hereby become rights, duties, interests, debts and liabilities of The Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

Repeals

(1) The Waterloo-Wellington Airport Act, 1974 and the Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport Act, 1986 are repealed.

Same

(2) Despite the repeal of The Waterloo-Wellington Airport Act, 1974 ,

(

a) the validity of the agreements that were ratified, confirmed and declared to be valid and binding by that Act is not affected; and

(

b) The Corporation of the City of Guelph and The Regional Municipality of Waterloo may make further agreements respecting the Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport and may amend the agreement referred to in that Act as the 1973 agreement,

but no such agreement shall affect therights of any other party to the 1973 agreement without that other party's consent.

Commencement

3. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

4. The

short title of this Act is the Waterloo-Guelph Regional Airport Act, 1995 .
