EXPLANATORY NOTES

This Bill would amend the

Schedule to

The Loan and Guarantee Act, 1957.

The province has guaranteed a letter

of credit issued by the Royal Bank of Canada on behalf of Marble Mountain

Development Corporation to secure the corporation's payment obligations under a

contract to replace the main chairlift. The guarantee will expire on May 15,
