NOTE

Bill 182 has been enacted as

Chapter 21 of the Statutes of Ontario, 2020.

The

Bill amends the Franco-Ontarian Emblem Act, 2001 to

recognize the Franco-Ontarian flag as an emblem of Ontario.

Act to amend the Franco-Ontarian Emblem Act, 2001

Her

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the

Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Section 2 of the Franco-Ontarian Emblem Act, 2001

is repealed and the following substituted:

Franco-Ontarian

emblem

The

flag described in the

Schedule to this Act is recognized as,

(

a) the

emblem of the Ontario French-speaking community; and

(

b) an

emblem of Ontario.

Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short

title

The

short title of this Act is the Franco-Ontarian Emblem
