Order in Council 992/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 990/2018 the Government of Ontario established the Premier’s Council on Improving Healthcare and Ending Hallway Medicine (“the Council”);

And

whereas Dr. Rueben Devlin was appointed as a member and to serve as the Chair of the Council and as the Special Advisor on Healthcare and Ending Hallway Medicine;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the following remuneration for the Chair is determined effective the date of that appointment:

Remuneration and Expenses

Salary: the Chair shall be paid the sum of $348,000 per annum.

The Chair shall be eligible for reimbursement of expenses incurred in their work on the Council in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expense Directive .
