AN ACT TO AMEND iHE IRRIGATiON ACT (Assented to , 1971) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Irrigation Act is hereby at/tended. 2.

Section is amended by striking out subsection (5) and by substituting the following:

(5) An order under this

section shall set out (

a) the name of the district, (

b) the address of the head office of the board of the district, (

c) a description of the parcels constituting the district or, in the case of a district with outer boundaries, a description of lands constituting the district, and (

d) the date upon which, or the event or condition upon the performance of which, the order becomes ef fective. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill amends

chapter of the Revised Statutes o.f Alberta 1970. 2. Section 20 (5) presently reads:

(5) An order under this

section shall set out the same matters re ferred to in

section 13. clause (

a) as in the case of the formation of a new district.

Section authorizes the making of orders reconstituting irriga tion districts. The effect of the amendment is to eliminate the need to show in these orders the names and addresses of the owners and purchasers, if any, of the parcels. Title: 1971 (16th, 4th) Bill 13,
