Order in Council 661/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to paragraph 3 of subsection 2.1(2), paragraphs 2 and 3 of subsection 2.1(3), subsections 2.1(7) and 2.1(9.1) of the Justices of the Peace Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006 , persons appointed as members of the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee shall be remunerated during the term of their appointment, effective June 6, 2025, as follows:

Part-time Chair: $566 per day.

Part-time Vice-Chair: $420 per day.

Part-time Members: $355 per day.

Further, appointees may be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other Treasury Board/Management Board of Cabinet directives.

And further, Order in Council O.C. 626/2007 is revoked effective June 6, 2025.
