Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated October 7, 2025, and pursuant to Sections 7 and 10 of

Chapter 32 of the Acts of 2004, the Prescription Monitoring Act , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Sharon Johnson-Legere of Halifax Regional Municipality as a director of the Nova Scotia Prescription Monitoring Board representing the public for a term of three years commencing November 5, 2025; (

b) appoint Nathan Barton and Vanessa Iafolla, both of Halifax Regional Municipality, as directors of the Nova Scotia Prescription Monitoring Board representing the public, both for a term of three years commencing November 5, 2025; and (

c) fix the remuneration of Sharon Johnson-Legere, Nathan Barton, and Vanessa Iafolla to be in the amount of $50.00 per hour and to be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as directors, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
